Apple Crumble

DSC_0021

This is my first food post! I am going to show you guys how to make a homemade apple crumble. It is so easy to make and it tastes amazing. This is a yummy fall treat to make for family, and it does take 40 minutes (I know, I was shocked too) but it’s definitely worth the wait. All of the flavors in this combine wonderfully; the sweet apples with the brown sugar and butter, as well as the cinnamon and splash of vanilla extract. Anyways, this is one big dish of happiness, and it’s so satisfying. (I’m going to warn you that this is very very addictive, so make this at your own risk).

Here is what you need and what to do:

Crumble

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup all purpose flour

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter

As much cinnamon as you want

4 red apples, cut into chunks

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add all of the ingredients into a large bowl and mix until apples are fully coated with the ingredients. Spray a sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray, and make more crumble (minus the apples) and put that to the side. Pour the apple crumble mixture into the pan and add the second batch of crumble on top.
2. Bake for 40 minutes. After they are done, let the mixture cool for 5 minutes, and serve warm, either with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or plain.
Enjoy!
