This post will be all about beauty products that I’ve been loving recently and am obsessed with. So, if you’d like to know all about my current favorite beauty products, then keep on reading.
- Rose Water
I think that I may be obsessed with rose water. It’s so hydrating and refreshing, and has been a recent addition in my skincare routine. I mist it all over my face after using face cleanser and toner. This preps my skin for spot treatments and moisturizer. I also love the way that it lies underneath makeup. You can buy rose water, but it is very expensive, so here is a cheap, DIY version that I made.
You will need
~Dried Roses (Here’s a link on how to dry roses. I used the microwave method)
~Spray bottle to store rose water in (I used an old setting spray bottle)
Dry your roses. Make sure there is no moisture left in the petals.
Soak at least 1 rose petal in water overnight, or if you can’t wait that long, for 20 minutes.
Throw away the used rose and transfer the water into the spray bottle.
~Skincare Prep (I like to mist my face with this before I apply a spot treatment or facial)
~Rose Petal Bath (Put dried roses into your bath for a spa-like experience)
2. Real Techniques by Sam & Nic Chapman Miracle Complexion Sponge
This blending sponge is my new obsession. It blends out my BB cream and concealer so smoothly and nicely. I love to soak it with water and squeeze it out until it’s damp before applying face makeup. It is very similar to a Beauty Blender, but it’s way less expensive ($5.99 at Walgreens) and it has a flat edge for contoured areas of the face. As the name says, it truly is a miracle, at least in my world.
3. Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara
This mascara is an absolute dream. The wand has a curved shape, which really grabs and defines the lashes. I also love how it coats the lashes with mascara, making them look thick and full. The formula of this mascara is amazing as well; it doesn’t make your lashes feel heavy or weighed down. I totally recommend this mascara, as it is definitely a favorite.
4. Jordana Fabubrow Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown
I. Love. This. Brow. Pencil. The formula is just amazing. It isn’t super thick, and fills in your brows nicely without making them look unnatural. The best part about this product is that it is super inexpensive at Walgreens, so it is definitely a steal.
5. Coconut Oil
This is such a random, basic favorite, but I really love coconut oil. I apply coconut oil like it’s my job. I put it in my hair, on my body as a light moisturizer, and as an oil cleanser and makeup remover. I love the way that the oil melts into my skin, leaving a smooth finish. I use unrefined coconut oil, but if you don’t want to smell like a summer vacation to Greece (which, who wouldn’t want to smell like a tropical paradise), then just buy the refined version, and make sure it’s organic for better results. (If you want to learn about the beauty benefits of coconut oil read my blog post called My Top 5 Favorite Natural Beauty Products).
6. Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer & Booster
I am actually obsessed with this primer. I recieved it as a sample in my Ipsy Glam Bag for this month, and immediately fell in love. The cool thing about this product is that it contains coconut water, probiotics, and electrolytes, which are all skin-boosting ingredients. I honestly believe that this primer cleared up my skin, because prior to using the primer, my skin was super bumpy. After 3 days of using this product, my skin was back to normal 🙂
